STRATA means “layers,” and the name reflects the way we understand the body. Lipedema is not simply a condition of excess fat. It involves multiple layers and systems of your body, including fat, connective tissue, lymphatic function, muscular movement and stability, and neurologic and cardiovascular function.
We look beyond a single symptom or body part. We consider the layers of the body and the layers of the person—how you move, how you feel, how your tissues function, how your body changes, and how those changes affect confidence and quality of life.
These diagrams help you better understand all the "layers" of tissue that STRATA addresses in our comprehensive, integrated protocol. We address the interaction among the nervous system, connective/adipose tissue, lymphatic-vascular system, and movement system.
The goal is to improve the environment in which the tissue, lymphatic system, nervous system, and musculoskeletal system function together. That is the key to successful and life-long management.
